Trans Am Copic Drawing
Trans AM Drawing
Hey everyone, and welcome to this blog post. Today im drawing a classic car... The Pontiac trans am. I actually got to drive in one of these many years ago, so that's why I wanted to Draw it now.
It also has a lot of interesting curves and details, which is gonna be fun to work with. After the first sketch I went over some places with different fine liners. It's easier to use fine liners on a car like this, because it’s gonna be a dark color, so you won't see the outlines as much in the end.
For the coloring I used a bunch of copic markers. For most of the car i used cool Grey 7 and a black marker. For the gold around the headlights and the bird on the hood I used Y17 (Golden yellow) I also used a bunch of different pencils for this drawing. For the headlights I used a light blue and light yellow for the reflection, and I used a darker blue on some of the black parts of the car to get this really interesting reflection that i think looks super cool.
For the Wheels I used Y08, (acid yellow) and for the windows I used Aqua, (BG15) and Ive ocean (BG72) which i think works well for the rest of the drawing. For some of the other reflections i used a Beige pencil instead of a completely white pencil. I think the Beige pencil just add a bit more warmth to the highlights, and it seems more natural.
Towards the end I gave the car a nice black shadow underneath it, and I really is what makes the car 'pop' out of the paper. I really enjoyed working of this car, and can't wait to draw more cars in the future.
