Shooting Suit Drawing

Hello everybody and welcome to this blog. This years theme continues and this month I have been on a whisky Convention and I decided to draw the outfit that I went in. The outfit in question is a vintage british shooting suit. I thought it would look good among the whisky barrels and among the tasting booths

After a quick little sketch it was time for some colors. For the skin I used pinkish white, (R00) blush, (R20) pale grape, (V91) and light grape. (V95) It has been the same markers for the previous vintage menswear illustrations. I think this is a very basic combination of markers, but it works perfectly with the oldschool vibe that im going for.

For the hat I used cool Grey 5 and 7, as it is the same Hat from last month’s drawing. Now for the main piece of this drawing, the shooting jacket! I used green grey.(BG93), it’s one of those markers that I don't use that often, and it did run out of ink halfway through the drawing... So I thought I was gonna mess up the drawing, but i managed to work it out, but i do need to get some more ink for that marker now. For the shading I used warm grey 5 and 7, and after that I went over every area again with the green grey to blend it all together. For small details I used a black pencil and a red fineliner, as the suit have a tiny red pattern on it.

For the socks I used a bush marker. (BG96) And of course the warm grey 7 for shading. I also used my finest fineliner (0.03) to make the tiny fibers for the socks appear. For the shoes I used chamois, (E35) Sepia, (E37) and Dark bark. (E49) I feel like im getting better at these 'full body' poses, even though some of the details are Extremely small. Im a bit fan of this one, but it's also the first 'Suit' drawing, as the others were long coats, which could feel a bit dull at times. I hope you all liked this post, and that it might have inspired you in some way. Whether if it is to draw something yourself, or perhaps to dress up for the next event you're attending. Have a great week everyone!
