Lily Pad: How to Color with Copic Markers

Hi everyone and welcome to another art blog. This week I’ve been working on a drawing of some Lily pads. I’ve had the idea for some time now, and it has honestly been a while since my last nature drawing. I knew right away that i wanted to use the entire paper, with water and everything. And for this drawing I’m also using toned tan paper. There are no particular reason to it, other than personal preference.

For the coloring of this one I actually choose to limit myself and only used 3 tones for each color.

For the pink I used Sugares Almond Pink, (RV02) Tender Pink, (RV13) and Shock Pink. (RV04)

For the greens I used Yellowish Green,(YG06) Pea Green, (YG63) and Moss.(YG67)

For some areas I also used a yellow pencil, for some highlights and color variation.

For the water, I used Warm Greys 5, and 7, and a black marker. I also used both a white pencil and a white gelly roll pen. And even a black pencil, for smaller details.
